abstract = {Inside the e-learning platforms, there are used various taxonomies for modeling the competences associated with the various courses. We present a solution for using the same competence taxonomies for automatically annotating the e-learning materials and developing the user profiles, by applying text processing techniques and – respectively – rule based decision policies. The solution is platform independent, and its migration from a system to another assures the knowledge sharing and the learner facile integration inside various professional communities. Also, the solution includes a support for ranking the documents according their effective usage and author competencies, which enables the development of a collective intelligence, as well as the most suitable knowledge sharing, according to the users common competencies.}
